Fantastic: Inafune Body-Slams Okamoto, Wants To Make New Mega Man

inafunesan.jpgNew interview with Capcom's Keiji Inafune up over at 1UP. And man, it's a doozey. Keiji spits fire on a whole range of topics, including why Capcom franchises never die, how bad he hates former colleague Yoshiki Okamoto (1942, Street Fighter) and what game he'd most like to sharpen up on a current-gen console. Hint: it's not Onimusha.

On the subject of Okamoto, precisely zero punches are pulled:

1UP: how do you feel about Genji, the Onimusha rip-off made by former Capcom employee Yoshiki Okamoto's Game Republic?

KI: First of all, please don't group Onimusha and that Genji game together. Personally I'd wonder about someone who says "I don't want to make an Onimusha sequel" and then leaves the company and goes off and makes a rip-off of Onimusha.

See? Hardly bristling with civility. You can read the rest ("More than an Onimusha sequel, personally I'd rather make the sequel to Mega Man Legeneds 3") over at 1UP.
