E307: Super Mario Galaxy Co-Op Hands On

Crecente and I got hands on with Super Mario Galaxy's two player co-op play. It's not straight-up two player, but rather, assisted co-op. One player controls Mario, while the other controls a star pointer. The star pointer can be used to collect stars and shoot them at enemies using the Wii-mote's trigger. The star pointer can also be used to freeze enemies and falling objects. Yup, that means Matrix style mid-air Mario freezing! The two-player co-op is can be added on the fly. The pick-up-and-play angle keeps in casual — not in pejorative sense!
