TOP OF THE POPS: Halo 3 Tops Japanese Amazon Charts
Not out until September, but Halo 3 is already topping the Amazon Japan “Best Seller” charts. Based on Amazon orders and pre-orders, these charts list which upcoming titles are most popular. As of posting, the top four are:
- Halo 3
- Dragon Quest Swords
- A.C.E. 3
- Doki Doki Majo Shinpan
Not sure how good of an indication Amazon Japan is for total sales, so take this for what it is: Halo 3 topping the Amazon Japan sales chart. Nothing more, nothing less.

Re: Four hours on the tarmac
Wow, i seem to be having terrible luck with planes lately. A one hour trip to Florida today turned into a five hour trip, four of which were spent sitting on the tarmac. Meh, what are you going to do? I’m here now and hanging out with my family and niece and nephew. They are twins and absolutely adorable. I’m now the cool uncle who brings video games, so you can imagine I’m rather popular with them.
As I mentioned last week, I worked the final week at my day job this week and I’m finally done with it. I truly believe that people weren’t meant to work in cubes. It can just be so disheartening. I’ll miss my friends there, but I’m glad to be out of corporate cube land and writing full time.
Some things you might have missed this weekend:
• This makes me want to steal Fahey’s lunch
• Best game cake EVER
• These faceplates make me want to pre-order Eternal Sonata
• Katamari skipping the PS3?
Alrighty, I am off to enjoy my first week as a free man. I am off next weekend so I can enjoy the last of my time with my family and then it’s off to E3. Looking forward to seeing you there! Goodnight.

New This Week: Week in Games: Ninja Gaiden Sigma Edition
As we move into the pre-E3 season, the list of exciting titles starts to thin out. I can’t say there’s anything I’m terribly interested in this week, but some of you might find something appealing on the list. Ninja Gaiden certainly looks pretty, but being PS3-less, I’ll have to pass on that one. Anything here you’re looking forward to?

Shadowrun: Circuit City Shadowrun Deal
If you’re a PC owner, poor and just dying to play Shadowrun, Circuit City has a pretty sweet deal going on right now. They are offering the PC version of Shadowrun plus a free Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver for Windows for a mere $37.99 plus free shipping. Considering the game itself is normally $50 and the adapter $20 your getting a pretty good savings. Now whether that’s actually worth it for Shadowrun, I’ll leave for you to decide.

Fallout 3: The Lunchbox Of Happiness
Upon arriving at the styling Helix Hotel in downtown Washington DC, the man at the desk informed me that there was a special gift waiting for me in my hotel room. I rushed up the elevator…somehow, and into my room to find…free coffee! Completely complimentary! Unfortunately my room had been missed in the swag rush, but I was hooked up the next day at Bethesda with this awesome Vault-Tec lunch box, with faux vintage ads on both sides. Within it I discovered a Fallout 3 t-shirt (a 2X, no less!), a can of Nuke Cola, and the amazing Vault Boy bobblehead, whose thumbs up pose is perfect for validating anything in your life, except perhaps ignoring airport security rules.
On the way home with my carry ons I was stopped at the security checkpoint, where they proceeded to literally break open the lunch box, confiscating the Nuke Cola in the name of national security. My poor poor lunch box, killed for the cause of freedom. He was so brave! *sniffles*
