DoA 4 Sells A Lot, Itagaki Still Fucked
With all that's swirling around that hard-drinkin', ass-grabbin' game designer, Tomonobu Itagaki, we'd like to point out that his hard-kickin', tit-shakin' game Dead or Alive 4 has sold quite well. The Xbox 360 game has sold over a million copies worldwide.
Congrats. Um...
While many think the Japanese just love Dead or Alive and that the series is super famous here, that's just not the case. It's popular with a very, very niche market. Yet, Microsoft has been pushing Dead or Alive Xtreme 2 like all hell, inadvertently pushing the console into a niche market as well. Stuff like this doesn't really help, either.
