Major Nelson “Not Happy” About “This”
Major Nelson, 360 celebrity-extraordinaire, on recent criticism of EA's "pay for everything" microtransaction policy:
It's still unclear to me: *IS* this content available on other platforms within the games? If so, then no...I am not happy about this. I need to do more digging on this, but I have sent off some rather terse emails to some folks to get to the bottom of this. I am also not happy about you guys not being happy.
Major, sir, we are not "not happy". We range between "indifferent" and "furious". Some people just expect this kind of crap from EA, but a lot also see their recent transgressions as a blemish on your otherwise decent online service record.
You need to do more than send some terse emails. You need to get a posse together and go crack some skulls, because if EA keep keep this up we're going to think a lot less of Xbox Live. We're also going to have to do a lot more reporting on it. And that'll take time away from our intensive daily routine of tabletop gaming, lawn bowls and darts. We can't have that, Major.
