Get Those Microsoft Points At Japan Post

The Xbox 360 and Japan Post? Microsoft announces that starting November 1st, it will be possible to buy Points at ATMs in Japanese post offices. Upon finding this out, I immediately ping Jean Snow, who mehs the entire dealio, saying it's already possible to buy points at convenience stores across notoriously online credit card phobic Japan. Here's how he describes the conbini service:

When you buy them, they print out a sort of coupon (like they would print out a ticket for an event), and it has a code on it. When you get home, you type your code in, and it redeems your points. I told you about this ages ago, silly!

Oh, right. The Japan Post ATM service is more about setting up a prepaid ID to accumulate points. Cool, but honestly, how many people will use this service?
