This Day in Gaming, August 29th

2001: Infogrames (not a typo ladies and gentelemen) releases Totally Unreal, a bundle of Unreal, the Unreal Expansion Pack, and Unreal Tournament for PC. It was also, like, totally pulled from the shelf after lackluster sales.

2001: Eidos releases Sydney 2000 for the PC in the US. The Olympics just makes me feel bad for Olympians. Let's face it, they train for 4 years and often give up everything to compete for a week. Yes, I know the whole world is watching or whatever, but the whole world only gives a crap DURING the Olympics. Case in point: how many readers almost glanced over this entry all together? Granted, that might be skewed due to Kotaku's lack of quality control.

2002: Acclaim releases Turok: Evolution for GC and PS2 - otherwise known as the OFFICIAL $9.99 game for the Nintendo Gamecube. This game went south faster than a crackwhore strapped to a flock of geese.
