Sony Claims PS3 Costs to Be Recouped Within 5 Years
Sony profits: Up! Games profits: Down! But don't worry, Sony protests, waving its hands excitedly around its head as a throng of investors turns into a maddening crowd.
Although Sony's games division posted a loss of over $200 million recently, Senior VP Takao Yuhara assured investors that the PS3's costs will be recovered within five years.
But all good news comes with bad for Sony lately. Yuhara continued by warning that the games division is facing mounting losses, due to rising microchip costs.
