Best Movie Ever (aka Heat) Gets Game Treatment?
Okay, okay. I'm freaking out a little bit here. I just rewatched the Heat: Special Edition DVD last weekend and today received a brain-shattering heads-up from one of our beloved Kotaku tipsters: Michael Mann's Heat may be coming to consoles in 2007. The thought of shooting deafened armored car security guards execution style with my Dual Shock makes me viciously giddy!
Get your oversized salt licks handy, because the source for this info comes from none other than the shaky IMDB, which is more prone to fanboy speculation for forthcoming projects than actual rock solid fact.
Mann's summer theatrical update to Miami Vice already has a scheduled PSP adaptation in the works, which looks... like it will be playable at least. Has Mann and Co. negotiated a licensing agreement to bring future, older Mann films to the video game world? We'll see.
Good lookin' out, Ian.
