Lone Command & Conquer 3 Screen Harvested

cnc3_gdiharvester.jpgWhen you’re a die-hard Command & Conquer fan, even a single screenshot makes you giggle like a schoolgirl. EA has only released a handful of screens and artwork, but this weekend’s update gives us some hot Tiberium mining and the description: “A GDI Harvester collects Tiberium in an undisclosed Yellow Zone”.

Check out the high-res version above and head over to the official site to sign up for updates.

HOGS - The Sexy Guy Gamer Clan

HOG STUDTired of all that female clan objectification? Disgusted by stereotypical male video game characters, with their well-defined abs, rock-hard pecs, and perfect calves? One gamer clan is breaking the mold: HOGS. Somehow short for HOt Gamer GuyS the clan promises to bring some fresh beefcake to the gaming world.

This is what I like to see. Men breaking boundaries, with a mission to “prove that gamerguys are NOT fat and ugly!”.

And why exactly a stud-laden guy gamer clan? The site spells it out quite simply:

1. We want to be able to play with more guys!
2. We want to be recognized that “men can play videogames” too.
3. We feel that hot guys are a minority, and we are fighting to be treateded equally by our female counterparts.
4. If all female clans can get sponsorship for being females, then we can get sponsors for being hot men.

That takes serious guts. The clan is currently recruiting for one more member. Think you have what it takes—the looks AND the skill—to hang with HOGS? There’s only one way to find out.

Super Mario World Super Skills

This smacks of “only possible with an emulator” but there are so many mind-blowing feats of caped Mario acrobatics in this video that it must be seen. WARNING: If you have an aversion to bad music Linkin Park, quickly hit the mute button and add your own custom soundtrack.

Banpresto Readies Nintendo Headphones, Alarm Clocks

nintendo_headphones.jpgYou can always count on Banpresto to take anything, from the mundane to the useful, and slap on some Nintendo branding. The company has opened up pre-orders for not only Nintendo headphones, with Donkey Kong, Mario Bros. and Super Mario Bros. versions, but also alarm clocks that are shaped like Famicoms.

famicom_alarm_clocks.jpgThe alarm clocks will lovingly wake you up to the soothing sounds of Excite Bike, Dr. Mario, The Legend of Zelda, Ice Climber or Super Mario Bros.

Do want. No details on ship dates or price just yet, but we’ll let you know if any import retailers solicit pre-orders outside of Japan.
