Er… Maester Seymour is easy to beat at the top of Mount Gagazet, I admit, I had problems with him at first, but his attacks are easy to memorize. Know this, summoning works if you dismiss them quickly. And, The best thing you could do is keep switching, use Yuna mostly tho, and if needed, switch to Rikku for Al Bhed Potions. Yuna would help, because she can use protect and reflect, reflect helps if a char has zombie on them, but know that if they have Zombie, you cannot heal them, enless they’re healed by an element of course. It’s an easy fight, I used Auron, Tidus, and Yuna/Rikku. Isn’t Rikku just the hottest? lol… *drools* Heh… Like I said, easy fight… Actually, I still had a little trouble, but dont worry, train a little bit and you’ll do fine. It’s not until you get to the next Temple b4 the game gets hard… Anyone remember the guardian? The one that comes out after you do the big puzzle thing? Got any help for me? THATS where Im stuck…

I don’t see how people have trouble with this game, I have flown through it, and haven’t had any trouble… sadly, I have the American version, so no Dark Aeons for me :(. oh well..
Seymour in the temple.. what I did,, was teleport Yuna to a Rikku place, and went and got holy (9,999hp damage) makes things MUCH simpler..
for the monster after the puzzle.. a fully charged Bahumut followed by one or 2 other aeons should do it easily.. and, if you can’t get past him, dont even try Yunalesca yet, she is easy, but probably not if you can’t beat the guardian.
Just killed Omega Weapon.. 3 hits. lol, this is an easy game…
Final Fantasy 7 is the best game ever. It has the best storyline, characters, magic system and the game is 3 discs of pure rpg heaven. The brillian twist at the end where u learn sephiroth has been in the crater all along and u gotta go kick his ass b4 the meteor hits, and tifa and aeris wud b good for a threesome! FF8 wasnt as good (still 10/10 tho), The twist with Ultimecia was great and Lionheart is the best Limit Break ever.. Omega was a bitch tho. FF9’s technique system was intersesting, emphasizing characters with their own spells/attacks, the bit where bahamut wreaks havoc over Alexandria (i think havent played it in ages)and when Kuja takes bahamut is great 2.. As for FF10 im in the middle of gettin Anima, Magus Sisters (got Yojimbo) and then to fight Penance but im havin trouble with the dark aeons as i cant get the better stuff without goin 2 the temples which are guarded by dark aeons.. im stuck with just under 9999 hp and attacks max at 9999hp.. Yojimbo luckily did Zanmato on Shiva and i got away luckily.. Valefor is being a bitch.. Bahamut killed me in about 7 or so turns and i just put the controller down and watch when i fight the dark magus sisters as i dont even get a go in b4 delta attack completely obliterates my squad.. i need auto-phoenix.. I only have 10 mega-phoenix’s and i dont know where 2 find more!!! anyone know where i can get any?????

Can anyone please e-mail me with a way to defeat sin after you have knocked off both of his arms. I have tried everything, but nothing works. FFX was a breeze. The only part i’m having trouble with is getting back to the desert to get lulu’s crest thing can anybody email me to tell me how to get there. I have the book but it dosn’t help
Someone please tell me how to get into the cavern of the stolen fayth in the calm lands? Everytime i try to go in, a guy stops me, saying that he won’t leave unless something really “unique” happens.

I’m really not sure about this “unique” thing, but when I reached Yunalesca and couldn’t beat her, I went back and was able to enter the Chamber of the Stolen Fayth. You’re wasting you’re time, though, if you don’t have AT LEAST 175,000 gil.
yo yunalesca was pretty hard but the only way to beat her is to train like a mofo yuna should have at least auto-curaga if not ur screwed
The “unique” thing is that you have to race the chocobos and end up with a time of 0.0, which is a pain to do, but ya gotta do it to get past the dude in the calm lands.

adriadne- ur trying to get to tidus’s cadalbolg in the calm lands.. u need to beat the chocobo trainer, then the guard will leave. to get to the cavern of the stolen fayth… go towards mt. gagazet. If u’ve beaten the defender robot, there’s a small decline to the right after u cross the bridge. go down that path and lulu tells u about the cavern. thats where u also get the rusty sword, which u need to get Auron’s masamune.
zan- yes its possible. in fact, the trainer even beat me with a time of 0:0:0
all u have to do is collect hella balloons and try not to get hit by any birds. i collected 11 ballons and evaded all the birds and got a time of 33

if u cant beat evrae it’s beacause you’re not strong enough…go back and fight some fiends - get stronger, you must have high HP to resist his poison atacks..

to beat yunalesca get deathproof on yuna with 60 farplane winds which you get from the arena guy at the calm lands and zombie ward with thirty holy waters. that should help.

I know that 5 are supposed to light up, and then you go to Zanarkand and light up the 6th one. I don’t know how to get the other 2 to light up. If anyone knows I’ll appreciate a response. Thanx

Yunalesca the 3rd is HARD!!! The hardest boss, I’d say. I wouldnt bother healing the zombies cuz that makes things worse. just beat the crap out of her! When she dies, it’s nasty!
I have completely licked this game, but some of you have asked for help, so here it is. Evare, not too bad, keep it close and hit it with holy, if you have it. Other than that shell, and stoneproofing helps, just try and keep haste on, and physical attacks with wakka and tidus will do just fine. For those of you suffering HP problems, let rikku mix a lv. 2 key sphere and a hi-potion for a mega vitality, which doubles the hp of the party to a maximum of 9999. (not too sure bout that recipie, will correct myself if im wrong later!)
Brother’s gatling tank is a bastardos. Have Wakka knock his negator out of the fight. Its machina so all its attacks apart from its mana beam is physical. Use protect, and summon an aeon to take the mana beam for you, its for the greater good! Get hastega going and hit it with plenty of lightning and lightning strike weapons. If yuna has been training, a strong Ixion will put up a good fight, but dont expect him to live longer than the 2nd machine gun attack.
Yunalesca is also hard, dont rely on your positive stasus, as her counterattack has auto dispell. Keep your guard up and wear her down with physical attacks and curaga for yourselfs but remember when she forms for her 3rd time, she casts megadeath at the start and every now and again after that. Keep one member in the zombie state at all times, make sure that they dont attack and that protect and shell is on. With a good hp yunalesca wont kill him/her off. Like another bloke said earlier, she can be zanmato’d, but her Z-level is 3, so itll take a grand summon and at least 700,000 gil.
Just some general tips.
Easy exp for virtually nothing. Capture a catuar while your in the region and once you have the airship, return to the monster arena and have first strike items equipped. Make sure to steal from it, as youll either get chocobo feathers (haste on one char if used, makes sos-haste and teaches aeons haste mag.) or chocobo wings (hastega if used, makes auto-haste) now, make wakka have his turn last (he usually has the lowest ag.) and his accuracy and damage by now will overkill him. Speed spheres and 12000 ap are your reward, almost a level a time at this stage.

I had the same problem with Seymour in the temple. He casts like 3 spells at once. What I did is I used a lot of mega potions. Those work well when your max HP is 3000 or less. If you have characters HP with about 3000 or more HP, use them. You MUST look at the order of action in the upper right hand side of the screen in order to prepare ahead of time. If you have low-stregth characters with a lot of HP, switch to them before Seymour makes his move. It would also be a good idea to cast Haste or Hastega as quick as you can to get a few more hits in on him. Seymour’s HP is only like 40,000, am I right?…So if you have characters with the Quick Hit ability, use it! Quick Hit is the best when your character has high agility, such as Tidus, usually. When I went up against Seymour, I got whooped…so I did what any low EXP person would do - GET MORE AP. The enemies outside make it easy to get AP quickly. You can easily get 20+ moves on the Sphere Grid by fighting some of those enemies in Macalania. Please let me know if this helped.

At Ramiem Temple you need to open 5 chests and hit 0 poles. I did it, but I got 60x Three Stars. Do you need to do it again? Can I get Wings of Discoveries?
OH! I hit a few poles that time. OOOPS! You are correct Zlatan. 3 chests = 30 x Wings to Discovery, 4 = 30 x Pendulum, 5 = 60 x Three Stars. Sorry.

hey greg if you still having problems with anima. you need to use the destruction sphere in all the cloister of trials, which means, if you did´nt do it in bevelle..you´re screwed… and if you can´t beat dark valefor(if you have the internationall version), and failed to use the destruction sphere in besaid.. you´re screwed.. and dark shiva is standing in the way at the guadotemple so if you did´nt use the destruction sphere there.. you´re screwed once again.. surely you can kill these guy´s with yojimbo, but that´s no sport…good luck though!!!

I got Anima a few days ago, yes. Also I heard that the destruction sphere is required to use in order to comeplete Bevelle’s cloister of trials, so anyone that thinks they cannot get Anima, it sounds like you have a chance! Go to the cloister of trials in Zanarkand once you have received all the prizes from the other 5 destruction spheres.
Okay, I got the 30x Wings to Discovery from Remiem Temple. Is there any way to get more? I think Triple AP requires 50x of them.
there are some monsters in the monster arena who´ll give you wings of disovery..I can´t remember who though… anyway if you overkill that monster you´ll get 2, if you just kill him you´ll get 1..about the penance dude, I think I´ve done something wrong somewhere.. besides him there is only two things missing. albedh primar vol.21, 22… hopefully they have nothing to do with penance, since they´re lost in oblivion!!!
to beat Maestor Seymor on top of the Mountain just go into the fight with all of your Aeons on overdrive and make sure Yuna is on Overdrive as well.
I’m missing those same primers. Anyways, I’ve just figured out a clever way to get major AP with a turbo controller and without triple ap. Heres what you do: Customize Overdrive -> Ap and Triple overdrive on a character (you may also want triple ap or double ap). You alos need auto-phoenix on this character and another character who will fight with you. You need a controller that has turbo to do this. Anyways, set that character’s overdrive mode to, i think ally (charges on charcter’s turn). Go to a creature in moster arena that you know doesnt have any attacks that injure all three of your characters at the same time (preferably varuna from omega dungeon). Also make sure you have 99x Phoenix downs. When the battle starts, set triangle to turbo. now, just hold turbo and let the auto-phoenixes do the work. I used a book, turned off my tv, and let the game get me ap. Just make sure you come back early enough to not use all of your phoenix downs or u will die. I guess you can set the ap thing to all of your characters, too. I prefer the quickest because they have more turns. auto-haste is a good thing to have too!

ok i forgot the bosses name but its that one where they are trying to luer sin into a trap by bringing all the sin spawn togeather the boss is a real pain in the ass i tryed taking out the head first but usually the boddy kicks my ass please e-mail me how to beat it

Sinspawn (and Yunalesca) were definately the toughest required bosses to beat. I don’t know what to tell you except to use magic attacks and physically attack its arms. Use Ifrit, Shiva, and the Horse thing definately, too! I’m playing FFVII (again) so I probably won’t be posting in this FFX forum for awhile. i found killing seymour at bevelle temple really easy. what i did was use auron’s power breaks, i found that elemental magic wasnt as useful as physical attacks. i ignored the annoying little thingy and just went 4 seymour. buy loadsa softs from o’aka to break the stone magic that seymour casts.also make sure yuna is always in so she can heal everyone on her go’s.its quite good because the thing attatched to seymour takes away lots of his health which kills him quicker. then u can use an aeon when seymours health is low, like 8000hp and then use the aeons overdrive to kill off both of them!!!! its fairly straight forward.i liked using tidus, auron and yuna. cansomeone tell me how 2 kill seymour on mt.gagazet??
Okay, first of all, easiest way to defeat ANYTHING in the game is to use Yojimbo and get him to use Zanmato. This’ll work for the Dark Aeons and any other mediocre bosses which are basically just fiends, like the one in Zanarkand Temple Ruins. To raise the odds of him doing Zanmato it’s best to pay him a shitload of cash when you first get him (I paid him about 400 000 gil) and then summon him on overdrive and pay him all of your money (must be in excess of 200 000). I find this makes him do Zanmato all the time, sure, you lose all your money, but what’s that to defeating a dark aeon.
Second, Dark Aeon places.
Valefor: Besaid Island
Ifrit: Bikanel Island Home Ruins.
Ixion: Thunder Plains (have to kill it twice)
Shiva: at Macalania temple.
Bahamut: In Yunalesca’s chamber thing in Zanarkand
Anima: Mt. Gagazet. Although I haven’t actually found it yet. I was told it is at the Fayth Cluster at the top.
Yojimbo: In the very same cave you find him. (You have to fight him more than once, too. Not sure how many times though because i saved my game after the first and then the summoner disappeared.
Magus Sisters: Djose Highroad.
Also I’ve noticed a few people are finding Seymour difficult, I found him pretty difficult too at first. Basically, and it’s an RPG so it always comes down to this: Train. Walk up and down Mt. Gagazet and train yo’ ass off. Of course for the lazy person who just wants to further plot: Get all your Aeons on Overdrive before you fight him, and let them all have a whack, he’ll kill them straight away afterwards of course but make sure you leave bahamut. Once that’s done hammer away at him ’til he’s at about 20 000 HP cuz this is when he does his superannoying gay attack that kills everyone unless you’re really lucky. At this point bring out bahamut on overdrive and, if you’ve been training well, he should wipe out Seymour. That’s how I did it. Also, I foudn the weapon ability “Alchemy” to be of great help.
I’ve also noticed people getting stuck at Yunalesca’s third form cuz she uses mega-death tight at the start, well this one’s simple. If one or more of your characters are afflicted with zombie from her previous form, make sure they’re in play when she casts mega death cuz it’ll miss them. Then it’s a case of killing her quickly before she uses it again but keep one still zombified just in case.

Small update on dark aeons.
To fight Anima you need to go into the cave at the top of mount Gagazet and do Wakka’s trial thing again. (Remember the one where you need need to hit the thing at the centre with his ball). Once you do this Anima will appear at the Mountain Gate.
Once all Dark Aeons are defeated a giant pillar will rise out of the gorge in the Calm Lands and will appear as a new location on the world map. Here you will fight a rather nasty piece of work called Penance.

Actually I thought I’d found a decent community of Gamers who know what’s gong on and are willing to help each other out, as I did by posting about twice on Dark Aeons and two startegies for bosses in the game being yunalesca 3rd form and Seymour(top of Mt. Gagazet). Two not particularly easy opponents. Which is obvious because most people who ask for help on bosses are stuck on these two. I also included a fair bit about Yojimbo. All this you and other people have asked for.
Now, if some people are completely clueless to the point of not understanding what I’m saying or (and I think this is the main problem with anyone who gets stuck ~anywhere~ in ~any~ RPG) unable to stop attempting killing some boss they’re stuck at and actually go away somewhere else and try levelling up for about an hour then I’m very sorry my expectations were too high thus leading me to be disappointed and worked up enough over it to be “rude” about it.
And as Claire said it’s a game forum. So if you have any counter argument email me it rather than filling this place up.

I don’t think anybody knows anything about Kingdom Hearts 2 right now except for the developers. Although a guy I know said to me it would be more based on Final Fantasy worlds instead of Disney worlds like the first game but he usually talks a lot of bollocks anyway. i.e. he also told me that it was he who wrote to squaresoft with the idea of making a crossover between final fantasy and disney. I think my argument rests there. All I’ve found from searching google is people saying “Yeah there’s gonna be a second one” and a bunch of screenshots which are just from the extra trailer at the end of the first game. Which, judging by Kat’s comment, she hasn’t seen. Sooo to get it, Kat, you need to get all the cups at the Coliseum (that excludes Gold and Platinum Cups btw) annnnd lock every keyhole in the game (Including the one in the winnie the pooh scenario). Then complete the game and after the ending credits you’ll be given an extra video called “Another side.. Another Story”. I think that’s it, I’ll post again if I missed something.

Yeah that basically affects your strengths and weaknesses. For instance, if you pick the sword first you’ll be really strong and if you pick the wand second then you’ll be crap with magic. And if you pick the shield first you’ll have high defense and HP and the sword second your strength stat will be low and so on.

Wouldn’t worry about Holy, Claire. I only learned it last week and I’ve had a completed game for about a month. It does look bad, your best bet is to haste everyone, use all their overdrives and all your aeon’s overdrives. You should be okay on the item front as RIn should be on board the airship somewhere.
Just keep trying, this battle’s down to speed.

Tell me you’ve played an FF game before, man. I don’t mean I actually have a savegame after the game ends. I mean I’ve got a savegame right before the Tower Of the Dead inside Sin and another one outside Sin so i can go around the world and fight and get more AP and move the charas round the sphere grid more and if I feel like it I can load the savegame inside Sin and complete the game all over again. That’s what FF games are about. The end boss is always easier than the extra optional bosses in the game. i.e. in FFX there’s Omega Weapon, the Dark Aeons (which you don’t have, though) and all the special monsters at the Coliseum guy’s place.
And it’s been a while since I played KH so I’m not sure, if you’re talking about the bit I think you are then there’s a bit where you need to hit acorns that Tigger throws, it’s about the most annoying thing in the entire game to do. Anyway, that whole bit is pretty linear so you’l know when you’ve done al you have to do and move on to the next area.

Ya need to capture all the monsters on Mt. Gagazet and the Calm Lands, then the coliseum guy gives you wee things to get through the door. Also, you need to fight against the woman with Anima and the Magus Sisters before you get the Sigil… I think that’s what you mean, anyway.
You need the sigils and crests to power up each character’s celestial weapon. So basically you need the weapon itself, the corresponding crest and the corresponding sigil. Then go to macalania woods and go up the shiny sky path, halfway along there’s a cutoff to a big yellow/gold thing that powers them up for you.
Well I heard XI ain’t gonna be coming out in europe cuz Square are gonna be cheap and not buy any european servers just like what happened with Quake 3 Arena (even though that wasn’t square but it pisses me off royally. Anyway yeah it’s an online one, dunno much about it other than they made a crossbreeed of a giraffe and a wood elf.
I’ve seen screenshots for XII, it looks to be pretty good, apparently it has a pretty dark storyline. I doubt it’s gonna top VII on those terms but I expect it’ll stand alongside it. Hopefully, cuz they haven’t actually forecasted any other FF games after that. Although you know they prob will. Maybe one more for PS2 before they start on games for the next generation consoles.

This fight requires that you MUST use Hastega in order to win. If not, you’ll have to deal with the power of his overdrive, which will almost certainly kill the entire party. If by chance he does get off his overdrive, try to have an Aeon in there to take the blow. Better yet, use Yuna’s Grand Summon on an Aeon to unleash two overdrives in a row. In general, use all of your strongest attacks as fast as possible and try to move in all party members to get the great AP.

One wat to kill Seymour at Bevelle is to keep hitting his little friend, drain him and he’ll keep draining Seymour, then when he is gone if you have it, use auto-life. equip everybody with it and as soon as one goes down, equip him as soon as he get back up and you WILL BEAT HIM. Don’t worry about Anima if you have auto-life. If you can get enough auto-lifes you can beat anybody. I think I am an expert at FFxand FFx2, e-mail me if you have a problem. Most likely I can help you. I can also tell you how to be him on Mt. Gagazet too, a breeze

Also get all your characters into overdrive (especially Rikku)
Before you go on deck, make sure to start with Tidus (using sonic steel if possible) Rikku and Auron. Cast haste on Rikku and use her overdrive and mix musk and a map ( I now it sounds kinda dumb but it makes hazardous shell) after this it should be Rikku or Aurons turn, if its Auron use power break, and if Rikku steal a water gem or hit with a bomb (you can steel twice from Evrae) if its tidus’ turn instead cast slow on evrae! After you cast slow on evrae cast reflect on EVRAE because evrea will cast hast on himself when his HP get less then 10 000, when evrae tries to cast haste on himself, when reflect is on him it will go to you in stead!! SWEET!!! He will keep trying to cast haste on himself so you should be good! Keep in mind that when evrae inhales pull back immediately, but watch out for the swooping whatever its called near the end of the battle. Oh one more thing, if kimahri has the overdrive self destruct, use it when evrea’s HP is about 1000 or 2000! Once he is dead (yay) you will be in Bevelle, just to let you know, there is no save point so DON’T DIE or you will have to restart the hole evrae thing L Now make sure that, well, I guess you should Tidus, Auron, and Rikku In your party so, make sure that all there armor is fire proof, then the guards with the fire gun thing don’t hurt you on bit!! there are 2 treasures in bevelle, one of them u cannot miss, u HAVE to open it to leave bevelle, the other treasure if u missed it, it does not matter WHATSOEVER.
Thats right, it doesnt matter at all if u missed the treasure in bevelle becos u already have the important one.
its most likely that u missed the one in besaid, i thort i missed the one in bevelle, but i went to besaid an got the treasure there, then i went an got anima, an he is rly worth it, he f*ckin rocks!

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO GO BACK TO BEVELLE!
there are 2 treasures in bevelle, one of them u cannot miss, u HAVE to open it to leave bevelle, the other treasure if u missed it, it does not matter WHATSOEVER.
Thats right, it doesnt matter at all if u missed the treasure in bevelle becos u already have the important one.
its most likely that u missed the one in besaid, i thort i missed the one in bevelle, but i went to besaid an got the treasure there, then i went an got anima, an he is rly worth it, he f*ckin rocks!
anyway i hope this helped a few ppl.
(P.S. beat dark aeons by savin nearby them, then hope yojimbo duz zanmato on them.)

the best way to do it is to steal of both of seymours guards, then u hav their potions so they cant heal (i dont how that works but its how i did it), tha way u dont waste an overdrive on them that u cud use on anima.
then basically kick the shite out of anima with all ur aeons.
his overdrive does 2000 damage to all of ur team so make sure they survive that, an watch out for pain cos its an instant kill.
once uve stolen the potions of the two guards its a hell of a lot easier.

I need help with a mission in FFX2. You know the Three Magnus Siters. I just Can’t seem to beat them. Will someone please help me.
i had alot of truble with them the first time to:) but the weakest of them is the bee. so she is the easyest to kill so attack her first after she is dead uthey cant use delta attack on u it also helps if u have an someone who can make megapotions bye mixing its been awhile since i played so i cant remember that well but after them u have to fight anime so be perpared it is also it helps if ur in lvl 60 and up good luck

evrae is easy just hav eall ur overdrives and keep far away until he casts haste and wait til he comes to u and then release all of ur overdrives. also keep rikku to use a lot of al bhed potions and grenades. get poison proof armor too

I really need help on how to obtain Anima. I’ve gotten every hidden item EXCEPT one. Which I don’t know what one that is, It’s the purple one on the top left, nearest to the entrance to the chamber of fayth. If anyone knows anything please help me!!
